Why this performative outrage? Taylor Farm's social media interns are not reading hacker news.


FYI, companies are typically getting alerts/reports of mentions on the web on various subjects of interest to them.

While they may just be focusing on trends/aggregate info, they often sample messages too.

This has been going on for at least 20 years (probably more, I just wasn't aware until then). It's not mainly interns, it's the web crawlers that are constantly indexing the internet.

Taylor Farms management has gotta learn the outcome of the Chicago Tylenol Murders like they should’ve learned in high school or college. Same for all TF competitors. Business ethics ain’t easy, they’re important.

Brandwatch and Sprinklr or whatever social media listening platforms have a blind spot or Taylor Farms doesn’t use them or what?
